Be Our Guest

Our championship golf course, designed by renowned architect B. Jay Riviere first opened for business in 1979. The course offers 6300 yards of Cato Crenshaw Bent Grass greens, cool season grass roughs and Zoysia fairways and tees. This beautiful and mature golf course is a par 71 from the blue tees.

The founders, Farm & Home Savings Association, operated the Golf Course as an anchor for their Lakewood Community Development from 1979 to 1992.

In 1992, Farm and Home sold the properties to Lakewood Oaks Golf Club, ltd. to be operated as a private Golf Club with equity memberships.

From 1992 to 2007 Lakewood Oaks Golf Club ltd. successfully operated the Golf Club and made many quality improvements including lake drawn irrigation system throughout the course, a beautiful water feature cascading down a portion of the back nine, and a large clubhouse expansion to include new dining and banquet space.

In 2007, the Lakewood Property Owners Association purchased the course through their controlled company the Lakewood Holding Company, Inc. The Lakewood Holding Company has successfully operated the facilities as a private golf club since its acquisition while continuing the tradition of constant improvement.

Through this acquisition in 2007, the 4900 members of the Lakewood Property Owners Association became social members of the Golf Club with limited access to the Golf Course. With over 260 full golf members, combined with our social members, the club has continued to thrive and be a favorite place destination for recreation and social activity.

In 2017, The Lakewood Oaks Golf Club changed their name to Lakewood Oaks Country Club to reflect the country club lifestyle that had evolved after the acquisition and its location in Jackson County’s premier lifestyle living community, Lakewood.

The Lakewood Oaks Country Club welcomes membership whether you live in the Lakewood Community or outside of the community. Non resident full golf members are able to purchase a Pool and Tennis Membership through the Lakewood Property Owners Association to complete their Country Club experience of Golf, Dining, Pool and Tennis.
